LIVING WITHIN AN ARBORETUM

What makes Bexley such a special place?  Generations of residents and visitors alike have enjoyed the character and beauty of this place many of us are fortunate to call home. Certainly, the old house charm of Bexley is part of what makes this community special, with a front porch, friendly style that seems timeless.  And the schools are part of the appeal, a deep investment in the future of our youth, providing and reinforcing a sense of neighborhoods, and as well providing the all important neighborhood play ground.  Bexley’s vibrant Main Street plays a role too,  with our library and city hall, restaurants, shops and services helping to form the classic identity of a small town.

And then there are the Bexley Trees!  With Bexley’s tree-lined streets providing a leafy canopy for car travel, biking and pedestrians, over 14,000 street trees help to frame Bexley as a special place.   Whether one is a resident or a visitor, living, shopping or working within Bexley, one experiences what it’s like to live amidst the trees.  In fact, Bexley so loves its tree that the City of Bexley applied to be designated as an Arboretum, thereby becoming the first city in the United States to be so recognized and honored.
